Please Note: Target does not offer a Canadian credit card at this time. There are also currently no Target stores open in Canada, but they are planning on opening stores in 2013. Link to Target's official Canadian Website: http://www.target.ca/en/ Here's more information on Target's move to Canada as provided by ctv.ca: The retailer plans to open 125 to 135 Target stores beginning in 2013 and each store is expected to employ 150 to 200 staff. Target signed a deal in 2011 to take over up to 220 Zellers locations from Hudson's Bay Co. worth more than $1.8 billion. Zellers locations that Target acquired, but does not want are expected to be leased back to Zellers, Wal-Mart or other companies. Minneapolis-based Target Corp. operates 1,755 stores in the U.S. with revenues of more than US$67 billion in its last fiscal year. Target has more than 355,000 employees and is the second-biggest discount retailer in the U.S. after Wal-Mart. Target is expanding to Canada in a similar way Wal-Mart did back in 1994, when it bought Woolco department stores in Canada, refurbished them and renamed them under the WalMart banner.
